The Apostolic Blessing of St. Pope John Paul II in Lamb of God Chapel
with the Chaplet of Divine Mercy for the Sick and the Dying
Did you know that if you pray a Chaplet of Divine Mercy for the sick and the dying in Lamb of God Chapel you receive a special Apostolic Blessing from St. Pope John Paul II? Lamb of God Chapel is one of over 400 adoration chapels worldwide that is registered with the Eucharistic Apostles of the Divine Mercy to receive this blessing. Many chapel adorers already pray this devotion regularly for friends and relatives that are sick or dying.
On the occasion of the Great Jubilee of the year 2000, the Holy Father, Pope John Paul II, by a personally signed parchment, imparted a Special Apostolic Blessing to all the faithful, who during Adoration of Our Most Merciful Savior in the Most Blessed Sacrament of the altar will be praying the Divine Mercy Chaplet for the sick and for those throughout the world who will be dying in that hour.

A copy of this parchment is framed and hanging outside the chapel. Prayer pamphlets entitled Chaplet of Divine Mercy for the Sick and the Dying are located outside the chapel, as well as on the top shelf of the bookshelf inside the chapel. The pamphlets are offered as one way adorers may pray for the sick and the dying using the Chaplet of Divine Mercy during Eucharistic Adoration. The Apostolic Blessing extends indefinitely for all who participate.
Our Lord asked St. Maria Faustina to pray and offer the Chaplet for sinners and the dying, saying:
Pray as much as you can for the dying. By your entreaties [that is, insistent prayers] obtain for them trust in My mercy, because they have most need of trust, and have it the least. Be assured that the grace of eternal salvation for certain souls in their final moment depends on your prayer. You know the whole abyss of My mercy, so draw upon it for yourself and especially for poor sinners. Sooner would heaven and earth turn into nothingness than would My mercy not embrace a trusting soul (Diary, 1777).
