We will be delivering Easter lilies to our homebound parishioners and those who reside in senior residences or care facilities. We have ordered 100 lilies and will distribute these on Holy Saturday from St. John Capistran Church. Please consider being part of this outreach by donating one Easter Lily (or more). You can drop off your donation of $10 per lily to the Parish Office or in the offertory (Lilies for Seniors on memo line), or use the “Donate a Lily” button on the Fish Fry pre-order link to make your donation online: www.resurrectionpgh.org/lenten-dinners-2023. Please contact Marry Swindal, Pastoral Associate, if you have any questions, have a senior you believe should be on our list, or would like to deliver on Holy Saturday; mswindal@resurrectionpgh.org or 412-833-0031 x239. Thank you for your witness of God’s love!

This Lent join the University of Notre Dame Folk Choir at 7:30 p.m. on March 18th at The Byham Theatre for their performance of The Passion, an original musical setting of the events of Christ’s passion. This 95 minute, fully staged production depicts the disciples on Holy Saturday as they retell the events of Jesus’s last days, from the anointing at Bethany to Golgotha. Tickets are available at bio.to/folk. The Passion was written as a collaboration among students in the Folk Choir and professional artists over two years of discernment, retreat, and workshop. In May 2022, as part of their pilgrimage to the Holy Land, the Folk Choir recorded The Passion live at the Jerusalem Music Center. CDs will be available for purchase at the concert. Due to some possible snow squalls this afternoon and evening, the Lamb of God Chapel will close at 2:00 p.m. today, Thursday January 26th, and will reopen tomorrow, Friday, January 27th at 8:00 a.m. (The different weather sources disagree on this forecast, so we are erring on the side of caution.) Thanks for your patience as we navigate another Pittsburgh winter!
There are several days available with open Mass intentions over the next few months leading up to Easter. Please stop in to either parish office to fill out a Mass intention request form to honor or pray for your loved ones. Recently there has been an increased number of spam requests, supposedly coming from me, asking for gift cards or contributions for various reasons. Please do not reply to these requests. They are bogus. I will never ask for any donation by text or email. Furthermore, I do not share my phone number with parishioners, you will never receive communication from me in this manner. Please share this with anyone who may not be on social media. Thank you, Bishop Mark
