Currently, two of the three roofs have been fixed. Unfortunately, as the roofers were working on the roof under the bell tower, they uncovered serious structural issues with a beam. As you might have seen along the McMillan side of the building, the beam has rotted away. We are working with the diocese and a structural engineer to see what our options are to get this repaired. As of now, getting Capistran Hall renovations done are on a temporary hold until we get the beam fixed. We are not sure what the cost will be to repair the beam. When I get an answer I will let you know. One additional suggestion is to replace the tile roof on and under the bell tower with a metal roof, in the hope that this will prevent damage caused by ice slabs that fall from the bell tower and crack the roof.

We are looking into replacing the Narthex doors. There are issues with the doors closing properly and cold air is getting into the Narthex during the winter. We are currently getting estimates to get both doors replaced.
We are in the process of planning to move the Parish Library from the Family Life Center to the front half of the Rooney Room so parishioners have easier access to it from the church.
