Young Adult Coordinator

Hi! My name is Bridgette Kennedy-Riske, and I’m the Young Adult Coordinator at Resurrection Parish. I’m looking forward to getting to know the young adults (ages 18-39) in our parish and working with Fr. Mike and the Young Adult Ministry (YAM) Core Team to provide opportunities for conversations and connections for young adults.

I’m most excited about:

Accompaniment: Being available to young adults for one-on-one conversations
Whether you love the Church and all of her teachings or whether you’re indifferent to or angry at the Church and reject some or all of her teachings, I would truly be happy to grab a coffee or drink with you to talk about your life and hear about your thoughts and experiences. Faith, relationship with God, vocation, discernment, and personal journeys are some of my favorite things to talk about. So, please, reach out to me and let’s meet up.

Discussion: Giving young adults a space to talk about faith in a way that is particularly relevant to this time in their lives
Young adulthood is full of discernment and decisions - work, dating, marriage, family, and so much more. Do our choices bring us closer to becoming who God made us to be? How do we walk our path and trust in God’s good plan for us? How can we make God our first priority? Do we have self awareness? As St. Catherine of Siena wrote to friend: “Come to know yourself in God and God in yourself.”^{^[1]}

Outside of YAM, I’m the Director of Admissions at Seton LaSalle Catholic High School, and I co-teach a theology and business course. For many years I was involved in several ministries at my parish (St. Michael the Archangel), including YAM. I enjoy getting to know people, sports and activities, and exploring new and fun hangouts (coffeeshops, breweries, restaurants). My husband Dan and I live in Dormont.
